Pre-Collision Assist With Automatic Emergency Braking

Hazards along the way can arise, anywhere, at any time. This feature is designed to scan the road ahead and can alert you to a potential collision with a vehicle or pedestrian detected ahead of you. If an impact becomes imminent and you don’t take corrective action, the brakes can apply automatically. But they’ll only activate if they’re needed.

Auto High-Beam Headlamps

We’ve all been there. Heading into a pitch-black stretch of road and having to turn on the high beams, then forgetting to turn them off as oncoming traffic approaches. Now, unlit roads, dark peripheries and other low-visibility situations don’t have to catch you off guard. Auto High-Beam Headlamps can sense poor lighting conditions and switch on to light your path ahead. They even sense oncoming headlights and dim automatically so you don’t have to worry about blinding other drivers. So you can keep your focus — and both hands on the wheel.

Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control

Tech that makes your long drive feel like a cruise. Not only does available Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go help you keep your pace, it can also slow down your vehicle if the traffic ahead has stopped or slowed. As soon as things clear, you’ll get right back to where you left off. And that’s not the only way it levels up your cruise control experience. Hill Descent Control™

Hill Descent Control™ is essentially a cruise control system that uses traction control technology with anti-lock brakes. This system continually adjusts braking pressure to help control slippage and maintain a constant preset speed while you are going down a steep grade. This capability helps you concentrate on steering since you don’t have to apply the brakes or downshift the transmission. On a downhill grade, Hill Descent Control can maintain a vehicle speed between 2 and 12 mph. Above 20 mph, the system remains activated, but the descent speed cannot be set until you are below 20 mph again.

Connected Built-In Navigation

Whether it means missing a flight or just losing your cool, a wrong turn can put a dent in your day. But like a Sherpa for trips large and small, the available connected built-in Navigation System can help you stay confidently on course. But that’s not all. It can also point you to the nearest gas stations or coffee shops.

Evasive Steering Assist

Built with durable composite construction materials and practical details the available tailgate work surface helps simplify and support your work. The flat surface is a perfect space to write, measure and cut. It’s grained to avoid slippage and integrated with functional tools like rulers, a mobile device holder, a cupholder and small-item storage. Each F-150 model also comes standard with clamp pockets and tailgate tie-downs to lock in your equipment and cargo.
